
A History of Excellence
ServiceMaster came together thanks to Marion E. Wade in 1929. Wade
was
from Chicago, which is where ServiceMaster was founded.
From the start Wade wanted the business to be focused around faith and the
desire to honor God; that belief is still held high in ServiceMaster
corporate today, but most importantly we hold that to a high standard here
at ServiceMaster "At YOUR Service."
ServiceMaster as a company wants not only its businesses to succeed but
their employees as well. This is why we begin an extensive training process
for each position after being hired.
Even though our services have changed and grown over the years the corporate
philosophy has remained consistent. We know that our employees are unable
to do their jobs correctly without the proper training and equipment. We
make sure that we are always up-to-date with our training and equipment, as
well as our technologies.
Even though ServiceMaster corporate began with only half a dozen employees
and $125,000; today the company has nearly 40,000 employees and revenues of
$8 billion.
